In the course of conducting NHS business, NHS staff are required to declare any conflict of interests that arise.
In keeping with our aims and purposes, the PCN encourages the closest liaison between its staff and external interests. In encouraging such interaction, the PCN is mindful of its obligation to provide safeguards, wherever possible, against anything arising from these interests which could be detrimental to the PCN or to individual members of staff.
As a result, all PCN staff must submit their declaration of interests return each year. Staff are normally required to seek permission for any interest that is additional to their role with the PCN and has not been allocated by a manager, regardless of contracted hours.
We will be publishing our conflict-of-interest register annually.
