Understanding Frontotemporal Dementia & Supporting Carers Along the Journey
The FTDToolkit
The development of this online support tool—the FTDToolkit— will help carers manage the symptoms of Frontotemporal Dementia.
To make sure the FTDToolkit really works for carers, your help is needed. The study team are recruiting carers currently supporting a family member living with frontotemporal dementia.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this study for the person living with FTD, or the carer, or both?
The FTDToolkit has been designed specifically for carers. Only the carer can be recruited to the study but participation in the study will, in future, also benefit the person living with FTD.
Can any carer of FTD take part?
Family, relatives or close friends who identify themselves as carers of people living with FTD are invited to join the study. Carers must be aged 18 years old or over and be able to read in English (with or without support)
What is the plan for the dissemination of the study results?
We aim to hold diverse events for health and social care services at the end of the project to share our findings. We will invite people living with FTD and their carers, healthcare professionals and researchers. We also aim to publish results in scientific papers and present them in national and international symposiums, conferences and workshops.
