Do you have a venue where we could come to you?

Farming and agricultural workers often find it difficult to seek health advice such as blood pressure testing due to the demands of their jobs. We are aware that many rural communities have poor access to health services and the PCN would like to visit a place or meeting group near you.

Once we have checked a person’s blood pressure, we can provide any necessary lifestyle advice which may help to reduce raised blood pressure and the send Blood Pressure numbers to the GP Practice.

Please use the form to nominate a meeting or venue within your locality that you feel would be suitable for our team to visit.

Take a look below to see how we got on at our latest pop up events.

On Wednesday 28th June 2023 we visited at Polypipe Civils & Green, Urbanisation, Horncastle, LN9 6JW

This drop in pop up blood pressure clinic was held between 09:30 and 17:00 and gave participants the answers to the following questions.

  • What is blood pressure?
  • Why is my blood pressure so important ?
  • What do the numbers mean?
  • What causes high blood pressure?
  • How can I lower my blood pressure?

We also offered blood pressure checks, brief ECGs using a finger monitor as well as health and lifestyle advice.

Thank you to all who attended and to Polypipe Civils & Green for being a great host for the day.

 Dated 24th April 2023

Our latest Health and Wellbeing event was at The Walled Garden, Baumber.  We were carrying out free blood pressure and atrial fibrillation (AF) checks for attendees.

It was a successful day as we did have a fair few people who had undiagnosed high blood pressure, also we did recommend one person saw her Dr for further investigations as her AF test came back as showing potential AF.

Thank you to everyone who attended this event.

Thank you to our local U3A groups who have provided us with the opportunity to visit them and provide free blood pressure checks to their members. We have done this in conjunction with OneYouLincolnshire and our local Social Prescribing Link worker.
